Frederiksberg Alcohol & Drug Treatment Centre (FKRC) provides counseling and treatment for individuals who are dependant on alcohol or drugs or have alcohol or drug related problems. FKRC also provides counseling for the family members of substance abusers.
Access to FKRC's services is available for free to all residents of Frederiksberg.
Treatment is offered primarily on an outpatient basis at one of FKRC's three units. If necessary, treatment may be available at one of the residential treatment centers, with which FKRC cooperates.

"Stofrådgivningen" handles the treatment of abusers of marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, ecstasy and similar substances.

FKRC can offer for example:
- Stabilization of the abuse
- Detoxification
- Treatment with medicine
- Supportive conversations with social worker or psychologist
- Assistance in resolving social, residential, work-related or other difficulties
- Healthcare provisions, vaccination, contraception
- Ear acupuncture
- Contact to alcohol and drug free network groups
Application
Applications to FKRC are on own initiative, personal, by phone, email or in writing. Referral is not necessary. We recommend phoning in advance in order to avoid unnecessary waiting.
Treatment guarantee
FKRC has a treatment guarantee. This means that all applicants for treatment must be offered treatment within 14 days of application. Treatment is free of charge.
Staff
FKRC has a highly qualified staff of social workers, doctor, psychologist, nurses, educational workers and secretaries. All our staff have received specialist supplementary training in the treatment of substance abuse.
Language
All FKRC's employees speak English. Interpretation to other languages can be provided if the need should arise.
