    On November 18, the local and regional elections for 2025 take place.

    The election is your opportunity to influence the political agenda in Frederiksberg and the local issues that matter to you.

    Your personal voting card informs you on where you should vote.

    • You will receive the voting card in your physical mail box
    • The voting card is valid for both the local and regional elections
    • You have to bring the voting card to the voting station

    You can either vote on the election day or you can vote in advance.

    Vote in advance

    You have the opportunity to vote in advance on 3 locations in Frederiksberg:

    • Borgerservice / Citizen Service Center: October 7 – November 14
    • Frederiksberg Hovedbibliotek / Main library: October 20 – November 14
    • Medborgercentret Nordens Plads / Community center: October 20 – November 14

    You have to bring your health insurance card or passport to vote.

    On the election day November 18 there are 8 voting stations in Frederiksberg:

    You are eligible to vote, if you: 

    • are above 18 years of age
    • permanently reside in Denmark (in the municipality/region)
    • are a Danish citizen of an EU Member State or a citizen of Iceland, Norway, or the UK
    • If you are a citizen of a country other than those mentioned above, you will not be entitled to vote until you have been permanently residing in Denmark for a period of 4 years.

    You will not be entitled to vote in local and regional elections if you are one of the following:

    • A foreign national on tolerated stay
    • A foreign national who has been expelled from Denmark through a final decision or judgement (under Sections 22 – 25(c) of the Danish Aliens Act)
    • A foreign national staying in Denmark in order to serve a sentence, etc. imposed by an international criminal court.

    Persons who are entitled to vote in local and regional elections are automatically registered in the electoral register.
