Here you can read about the various opportunities for courses and education available to you while you are unemployed.

Our primary focus is on providing you with an individualized, meaningful and job-oriented effort. Additionally, you can receive a substantial educational boost if needed.

The educational efforts are targeted at those unemployed individuals with the greatest need and within fields where there is a demand for labor. Therefore, courses and education are not the first options to help you return to the labor market , our focus is based on what the companies needs.

If relevant, and if you would benefit from upskilling and possibly education, you will, in collaboration with your job consultant/advisor, explore the available educational opportunities.

If you have spoken with an employer during your job search process and they have promised you a job upon completing a specific course, your job consultant will assess your application for this course. However, this requires the employer to have signed a written declaration stating that you will be employed after the course.

To be considered for a course, you must complete the following application form. Before writing your application, you should read the guidelines below.

Write a great motivation. Explain how the course fits into your job search strategy.

Courses are primarily granted in close connection with a company-related activity, such as an internship or a subsidized employment position.

Your application will be strengthened if you have already made an agreement with a company regarding an internship or wage subsidy employment after the course, so your new skills can be utilized and become part of your work experience on your CV. Several course providers and Job Centre can sometimes help you find a company internship.

If you are granted a course, Job Centre Frederiksberg will pay for the course.

Generally, only courses from the regional positive list for the Capital Region are granted. So, review the lists to find a course that matches the area you wish to be upskilled within.

Courses not on the list are more easily granted if the employer provides a declaration of employment based on the completed course.

Courses are only granted to companies registered in Denmark.

We process course applications on an ongoing basis and conduct individual assessments based on your preferences, qualifications, and prerequisites for the course, as well as employment opportunities within the upskilling area. You will receive a response from Job Centre Frederiksberg within 3 weeks.
