Parking

You must be digitally registered from the start of parking. You must therefore either buy a parking ticket or have a parking license when you park in the parking zone.

    You can use one of the six parking apps, or a parking-meter. You can also still buy your parking ticket on the municipality’s website, or through one of the local sellers.

    Be aware that you will need to use your parking disc when in an area with time restrictions. For example, parking spaces with a 30 minute limit.

    When do you have to pay?

    The parking zone applies on weekdays between 7 AM and 12 AM and on Saturdays between 7 AM and 5 PM. Parking is still free during weekends from Saturday at 5 PM until Monday at 7 AM as well as on national public holidays.

    Resident license

    • Energy class between A+ and A+++ 250 Danish kroner per year
    • Energy class between A and B  cost 500 Danish kroner per year
    • Energy class between C and G cost 750 Danish kroner per year
    • For resident with electric car cost 50 Danish kroner per year
    • For resident with motorcycle cost 250 Danish kroner per year
    • License for vehicle no. 2 costs double the rate.

    Furthermore, it is possible to buy a flexible resident license for 40/100/150 Danish kroner per month, depending on the car’s energy class.

    Resident with borrowed/rented car

    The price of the licence is 110 Danish kroner per week to 90. You can see the therms and apply for the parking license here (in Danish)

    Commute

    It is possible to apply for a parking license (pendlerlicens), if you are working in Frederiksberg. The price for the licence is 600 Danish kroner a month.

    Business licence

    Parking of a trailer and parking when staying overnight

    Trailer an and caravans with at total weight of 2000 kilos or below are only allowed to park for 12 hours in Frederiksberg.
    Furthermore, it is not allowed to park vehicles used for advertising or accommodation.

    The following exempt for payment in the parking zone

    1. Cars with a valid disability badge, clearly displayed on the windscreen of the car.
    2. Scooters and trailers.

    Parking fine

    Payment must be made by bank transfer to Jyske Bank and the amount must be paid in Danish currency (DKK).

    Please note that the parking ticket ID-number (9 character) and license plate number must be specified and the amount must be paid/transferred in Danish currency (DKK).
